Trained as an electrical engineer, I had always dreamed to paint and become a professional artist. After my early retirement from the Thai Oil Refinery, where I worked for 25 years, I started to dedicate my time to painting since 1990 and paint as full time artist since 2001. I wasThe First Vice President of the Thai Watercolor Association which I helped to form and is a leading exponent for the need for greater collaboration and open discussion of art and its various mediums in Thailand.
I paint mainly in oil and watercolor. Even though most of my skills are self-taught, I have received most valuable advise from two accomplished senior Thai artists, Arjarn Sawad Tantisuk and Arjarn Tongchai Rukpatum. I paint on location from my beloved scenes expressing their mood by using syntisized atmostpheric color, tonal and strengthen by using lines .Unity is usually governed by what I see from nature, details and expression are simplified by the enjoyment of my painting process and mood , thus copying nature is minimized.
